Split View

Put two to four pages side by side in one window.

Start a split

  • Drag a tab from the sidebar onto the page, and drop it on the side where it should go.
  • Press ⌃⇧= (Add Split View) to open a new page next to the current one.
  • Right-click a link and choose Open Link in Split View.
  • From a Peek preview, click the split button.

A split can hold up to four pages, side by side or stacked.

Work in a split

  • Click a page to focus it. The sidebar shows the split as one row.
  • Drag the line between pages to resize them.
  • Right-click the split row in the sidebar and choose Separate All Tabs to make them separate tabs again.
  • ⌃⇧- closes the focused page and keeps the others.

A split is saved like any other tab: pin it to keep it, or let it be archived with the Today tabs.
