Import from Arc
Open Arc reads the sidebar file of Arc on the same Mac. It only reads it: Arc and its data are never changed.
- Choose Open Arc ▸ Import from Another Browser…, or use the import step of the welcome screens.
- Choose Arc.
- Review what will be imported and confirm.
What comes over:
- Spaces, with their theme colors and supported icons
- Pinned tabs and nested folders
- Favorites
- Today tabs
- Split views
Items Open Arc does not recognize may be skipped. Arc's Boosts, Notes, Live Folders and AI features have no counterpart in Open Arc.
Import from Chrome, Safari and others
Open Arc imports bookmarks from Chrome, Safari, Brave, Edge, Chromium and Vivaldi. Choose Open Arc ▸ Import from Another Browser… and pick the browser and, where it has several, the profile.
After importing
- Your imported Spaces appear in the dock at the bottom of the sidebar. Switch with ⌃1–⌃9.
- Give a Space its own Profile if you want its sign-ins kept apart. See Profiles.
- Turn on iCloud sync to bring the same sidebar to your other Macs. See Syncing between Macs.
