# Open Arc > Open Arc is an independent, open-source macOS browser built on Chromium, with familiar Arc-style browsing and organization. It is not affiliated with The Browser Company. The current installer requires macOS 14 or later on Apple silicon. Browser data is stored locally; optional sync uses the user's private iCloud database. No Open Arc account is required. The website's browser demos are illustrations, not screenshots of the shipping app. Arc import supports spaces, theme colors, supported space icons, nested folders, pinned tabs, Favorites, Today tabs, and split views. It does not fully migrate preferences, extensions, or signed-in sessions. Boosts, Notes, and Arc Max are not part of the current version. See the product overview for details and limitations. ## Product - [English product overview](https://getopenarc.app/index.md): Features, auto-archive, migration, local storage, optional iCloud sync, and frequently asked questions, generated from the English landing-page copy. - [Simplified Chinese product overview](https://getopenarc.app/zh/index.md): The same public product information in Simplified Chinese. - [English website](https://getopenarc.app/): Interactive landing page. - [Simplified Chinese website](https://getopenarc.app/zh/): Localized landing page. ## Download and source - [Latest macOS DMG](https://getopenarc.app/download/macos): Redirects to the installer from the latest stable GitHub release; do not hard-code a release version. - [Source code and README](https://github.com/St0neWan9/open-arc-browser): Public repository, installation requirements, and contribution information. - [Releases](https://github.com/St0neWan9/open-arc-browser/releases): Published versions and release notes. - [Issue tracker](https://github.com/St0neWan9/open-arc-browser/issues): Bug reports and feature requests.
