# Split View

> Put two to four pages side by side in one window.

## Start a split

- Drag a tab from the sidebar onto the page, and drop it on the side where it should go.
- Press `⌃⇧=` (Add Split View) to open a new page next to the current one.
- Right-click a link and choose **Open Link in Split View**.
- From a [Peek](/help/peek-and-little-arc) preview, click the split button.

A split can hold up to four pages, side by side or stacked.

## Work in a split

- Click a page to focus it. The sidebar shows the split as one row.
- Drag the line between pages to resize them.
- Right-click the split row in the sidebar and choose **Separate All Tabs** to make them separate tabs again.
- `⌃⇧-` closes the focused page and keeps the others.

A split is saved like any other tab: pin it to keep it, or let it be archived with the Today tabs.
